The distinguished speaking engagement at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, located at No. 2 Songshou Road, Xinyi District, Taipei City, concluded triumphantly on April 27.

This prestigious event was orchestrated by the Global Taiwan Alumni Association of the University of Michigan (GTAUM) and was jointly organized in collaboration with the USC Alumni Club of Taiwan, Taiwan Eastbound Alliance-Landing America(TeaLa), and the Wesley Girl's High School Alumni Association.


The gathering successfully drew over 100 esteemed attendees from Taiwan, Michigan in the United States, and the Taiwanese business community in Vietnam. Following the event, the participants united to create an intercollegiate and interdisciplinary network dedicated to providing mutual support in professional development, work, and personal life. Help Taiwanese companies enter the international market.


During the keynote address, Dr. Qing-Liu Zhan, Chairman of PharmaEssentia Corp, presented an insightful perspective titled "Observing Taiwan's Biotech Industry Evolution through PharmaEssentia." Concurrently, Vice President Richard Yen of Altair Engineering, Inc.(a company listed in the United States), delivered a compelling talk on "Bridging Data Science and Rocket Science: The Convergence of Computer Simulation, High-Performance Computing, and Artificial Intelligence." These expert presentations not only furnished profound industry insights but also charted a course for the forthcoming advancements in Taiwan's technology and biotechnology sectors.

Representative of the Michigan Office in Taiwan, Representative of the University of Michigan Taiwan Class Reunion MTSA, business manager from the American Institute in Taiwan(AIT), president of the Columbia University Alumni Association in Taiwan, and alumni presidents from prestigious institutions like MIT and Stanford University. The event also welcomed the executive director of the National Taiwan University Alumni Club, the executive director of the National Cheng Kung University Alumni Association Center, top brass from TECO Electric, and key figures from various listed and tech companies in Taiwan. Additionally, senior executives and general managers from leading technology firms, esteemed American business proprietors and top executives, along with prominent general managers and senior executives of Taiwanese enterprises operating in Vietnam, were among the distinguished attendees.


It is noteworthy that Chairman Zhi-Hui Guo of TeaLa has recently ascended to the role of Minister of Economic Affairs. Similarly, Director Yan-Nan Huang has been appointed as the Minister of Digital Affairs. Concurrently, professor Ping-Cheng Yeh, director of the GTAUM, has embraced the position of Deputy Minister of Government Affairs within the Ministry of Education. As visionary leaders, they have boldly stepped into the realm of national public affairs, embodying their commitment to fostering Taiwan's international ties through proactive engagement, thereby enhancing the significance of this event.


The triumph of this event has not only been instrumental in advancing Taiwan's globalization efforts but has also established a robust groundwork for forthcoming international collaborations and exchanges.
